To Solution of Contact Problem for Elastic Half-Strip

Contact problems for elastic stripes have been well studied and published in domestic scientific literature. This is partly due to the fact that normative documents on foundation structure it recommended use this model simulation of a “structure – soil foundation” system. Two variants boundary conditions at contact between half-strip rigid non-deformable base are usually considered. The first condition nullifies vertical displacements tangential stresses, second one horizontal displacements. an much less investigated. paper considers problem when zeroing stresses with rigid, nondeformable base. When performing calculations traditional formulation without taking into account zone, Zhemochkin method has used, which reduces solution solid mechanics statically indeterminate by mixed structural mechanics. Therefore, first, we found upper edge from unit load uniformly distributed over section. resulting expression used compose system equations method. case translational displacement die considered, graph stress distribution under die's sole given paper.

We analyze a thin elastic, homogeneous strip under a smooth load and several different types of boundary conditions. The strip is assumed to obey either a plane strain or a plane stress type deformation of linear theory of elasticity. We characterize the 2D solution and consider dimension reduction of arbitrary order n. Both interior and global energy estimates for the reduction error are derived.
